Talk about a unique tasting event!

Brooklyn Brewery does a traveling road show called MASH in which they visit different cities for an entire week doing a multimedia series of events… comedy, film, beer dinners, etc.  We’re hosting the folks from Brooklyn Brewery including Andrew Gerson who is the house chef of the brewery for a very cool beer & cheese pairing.

We’ve partnered with our South Lamar neighbors Henri’s Cheese Shop who have hand selected 4 different cheeses that will pair excellently with the 4 Brooklyn beers we’ve chosen for the event. We’ll have an Henri’s cheese expert on site as well explaining the cheeses.

Here are the pairings:

• Local 1 Belgian Ale with Mon Sire Raclette
• Winter Ale with Marcel Petite 2 Year Comte St. Antoine
• Black Chocolate Stout with Canal Junction Charloe
• Hand & Seal (bourbon barrel aged barley wine) with Veldhuizen Dairy Bosque Blue

So here’s how this works:  the beer samples are FREE (legally we can’t charge for beer samples… TABC rules), but if you want to do the cheese pairing flight it will cost only $5 per person.  We’re buying enough cheese for 30 people to do the samples, so be sure to get there early on in the tasting window to make sure we still have enough!
