New Beers This Week
Back in stock: Jester King Snorkel, Left Hand Hard Wired, New Belgium Voodoo Ranger.
Founder’s Frangelic Mountain Brown – Hazelnut coffee-infused barrel-aged beer. The quintessential taproom “one-off” beer. Founders’ brewers created the Mountain Brown series for their taproom in Grand Rapids in 2007. It’s the 16th iteration in the series of popular brown ales and it likely won’t be the last. The singular characteristic of this beer comes from the use of hazelnut coffee in the brewing process. The beer has distinct aromatics with sweet an nutty flavors beautifully balanced. 9% ABV / Grand Rapids, MI /Availability: Good
Duchesse Chocolate Cherry– Traditional Duchesse de Bourgogne with Belgian cherries and chocolate essence added during the maturation process in oak casks (foeders). 20 kg of whole Belgian cherries are used in the production of each 100 liters of Chocolate Duchesse Cherry. 6.8% ABV / Vichte, Vlaanderen Belgium/Availability: Good
Cigar City Marshal Zhukov’s – This Russian Imperial Stout is dedicated to Georgy Zhukov, arguably one of the finest generals of World War II. Opaque black in color, with notes of espresso, chocolate, dark toffee and hints of blackstrap molasses. The English hop varietals provide a subtle herbal dryness, and the beer finishes with a hearty slap of roasty espresso. Pair Marshal Zhukov’s with mushroom solyanka, dark chocolate, cherries and ground wars in Russia. 11.8% ABV / Tampa, FL / Availability: Decent
Sierra Nevada 40th Hoppy Anniversary – This beer showcases the bold flavors and aromas of a classic West Coast IPA: intense pine and citrus with a deep gold color and slight caramel sweetness. 6% ABV / Chico, CA / Availability: Good
Tupps Full Grown Woodsman – Imperial stout brewed with maple syrup and aged on oak. 12% ABV / McKinney, TX / Availability: Good

Lagunitas Willettized Stout -Lagunitas’ friends over at Kentucky’s own Willett Distillery have one kind of barrel: wood. And they put two things in them: Bourbon and Rye.
