The holidays are a time to indulge and be merry. We at WhichCraft Beer Store are here to help with our own interpretation of the season’s most indulgent tradition…Advent Calendars! Except when you open one of our calendars you won’t find a small piece of dime store chocolate. These are calendars for grown ups, which means every day in December you’ll be treated to a different, delicious, fermented, fantastic, sudsy, surprise BEER! It’s the perfect way to fill yourself with Christmas spirit leading up to the big day on the 25th.
Pre-sales of these popular boxes begin today: Thursday, October 20th. Purchases can be made either in person at WhichCraft Beer Store on South Lamar, or by calling us at (512) 600-1088.
Here are the details:
– We’ll be making two tiers of boxes, each including 24 different beers (because exactly 24 beers fit in a case… coincidence?!)
– Tier 1 calendars will be pre-sold for $100+tax. Tier 2 calendars will be pre-sold for $150+tax.
– Pickup windows will be in mid November. The exact dates and times of the pickup windows will be announced at a later time, depending on the volume of orders we receive.
– Here’s the most supremely awesome part:
– A few GOLDEN BOXES will be created which will look identical to all of the others. In each golden box, the 24 beers in this box will equal TWICE the retail value of the normal boxes. For example, if you bought a $150 box and you happened to choose the golden box, the retail value of the beers in that box would add up to $300!
– These Golden Boxes will be indistinguishable from their brethren, and even WhichCraft staff won’t know which will be the Golden Boxes. When you arrive to pick up your box, you get to choose at random from the boxes still available.
– There will be one Golden Box created for every 25 Advent Calendars sold, across both Tier 1 and Tier 2 calendars.
Logistics of creating these require we will only sell a limited amount, so pre-order yours now!
NOTE: Shipping beers into, out of, or within Texas is prohibited by state law. So all boxes must be picked up in person (though sending a proxy is acceptable).
So you say there are going to be golden boxes, but it is ever explained what the golden boxes mean?
great catch Michael! I just updated the blog post to explain how the golden boxes work. thanks again.
Have you guys figured out pick-up dates yet? When is Week 1 and when is week 2?
