Odell Jaunt – The Western Slope of Colorado, just a short trip over the Rocky Mountains, is the perfect place to find new ingredients for an excursion in brewing. Jaunt is a process, or journey, marrying a delicate pale ale with Colorado grown Riesling grapes and aged on oak. The final blend boasts a creamy malt body, a bright and crisp fruity finish, and just a dash of vanilla from the oak, and comes in a 750mL cork and cage bottle. 7.6% ABV/Fort Colins, CO
Avery 21st Anniversary – A celebration of Avery Brewing’s 21st anniversary, this is an Imperial India-style brown which receives a score of 96 from ratebeer.com. Dry hopped with Amarillo and Simcoe to give a dense piney nose and flavor built on a foundation of specialty dark malts. 8.53%ABV/Boulder, CO
Avery Barrel Aged Rufus Corvus – A very special barrel aged sour/wild ale from Avery. This particular liquid was a blend of a two different sour projects and aged for a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 24 months. Rated a 99 on ratebeer.com. 6.83% ABV/Boulder, CO
Stone RuinTen – Originally brewed as a 10th birthday of the famous Ruination Ale, this is an even bigger, bolder and hoppier version of its baby brother. If Stone Ruination is “A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,” then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. This beer was so popular Stone has decided to make it an annual release. 10.8% ABV/Escondido, CA
Stone Stochasticity Project Quadrotriticale – Part of head brewer Mitch Steele’s ongoing side project entitled Stochasticity, this is a Belgian quad using a hybrid grain called triticale which combines the pleasant flavor of wheat with the elemental durability of rye. The result is slightly less sweet than a traditional Belgian Quad, but still with the rich dark fruity flavors expected from the style. 9.3% ABC/Escondido, CA
Dogfish Head Rosabi – Started as a collaboration with musician Julianna Barwick, a portion of red rice from Julianna’s home state of Louisiana was used to lend a subtle red/rosé color to the beer. The other distinctive element used was wasabi, which when combined with the color of the beer became the name of the beer – Rosabi. It’s an imperial pale pale, which isn’t as aggressively hopped as an IPA. 8% ABV/Milton, Delaware
Chimay Vintage 2012 Grande Reserve – How do you improve on a perfect 100 from ratebeer.com? Well, release a 2012 vintage aged version featuring a screen-printed bottle and only produce 10,000 cases for the whole world, that’s how. The monks just can’t be happy with perfection, I guess. 9% ABV/Baileux, Belgium
Rogue Marionberry Braggot – The next in Rogue’s series to please your eyes as well as your taste buds with their creative colored bottles, this beer is flavored with marionberries and honey from the Rogue farm in Oregon. 11.42%ABV/Newport, OR
Victory Wild Devil Wild Ale – Bold, spicy, menacingly delicious HopDevil takes on an entirely new dimension when subjected to a wild yeast fermentation. A sharp, sourish edge has been added by this fermentations that plays into the caramel sweet malt deliciously and creates complex interplay with citrus accented hops. 6.7% ABV/Downington, PA
Grapevine Monarch – This new filtered wheat beer from Grapevine comes in 6 pack cans and is a great, easy drinking summer beer. It pours a pale yellow which is clear, which differentiates it from most wheat beers on the market. A slightly sweet cereal and wheat flavor. 4.1%ABV/Grapevine, TX
Boulevard Zon – This is the new summer seasonal Belgian wit from Boulevard. It’s everything an easy drinking summer slammer should be – sessionable, a bit sweet and fruity. 4.4% ABV/Kansas City, MO
Uncle Billy’s Humbucker Helles – Our friends at local brewpub Uncle Billy’s are finally releasing their first beer into distribution, so we’re very excited to have 4 packs of 16 oz cans of Humbucker Helles in stock. It’s very light, refreshing, with a nice bready malt base and dry finish.
Thornbridge St Petersburg – The UK’s Thornbridge brewery’s Russian Imperial Stout, rich and dark with smoke, subtle peatiness and the power of the dark malts. Molasses and liquorice and chocolate goodness all wrapped up in a smooth, warming liquid. Finishes with a distinct humming bitterness carried well by the hop and malt combo. 7.7% ABV/Bakewell, England
Thornbridge Wild Raven Black IPA – An excellent example of the style, with dark malts contributing roastiness and the hop bitterness lingering as it should. Uses Centennial and Sorachi Ace hops. 6.6% ABV/Bakewell, England
Aspall Demi-Sec – England’s oldest family-run cidery, in continual operation since 1728. The demi-sec is semi-sweet with a nice dry finish. 6.6% ABV/Suffolk, England
St Sylvestre Brasserie 3 Monts Amber – A traditional Biere de Garde style from France, which pours amber in color and has a very slight hop bitterness. It’s cork and cage 750mL, therefore bottle conditioned, so it will have an effervescent pop as well. 8% ABV/France
Prairie Funky Gold Mosaic – More Prairie in stock starting tomorrow (Friday)! The Funky Gold Mosaic sounds fantastic – it’s a sour ale dry-hopped with a heaping helping of Mosaic. Expect a sour and tropical taste explosion! 6.5% ABV/Krebs, OK
Prairie Birra – Another new Prairie beer, lucky us! Birra is a light, sessionable farmhouse ale. It is crisp with notes of black pepper and orange and goes perfectly with food. 4.5% ABV/Krebs, OK
Leprechaun Dry – The best Texas cider not made in Texas! This is a TX-owned company who actually produces cider from where the best apples in the country are grown – the Pacific Northwest. A bright, drier “English style” cider. Light straw in color, it’s lightly effervescent, yet full-bodied, and balanced citrus notes with hints of green grape skin, and tart elements of the orchard. 6.9% ABV/Texas
Texian First Stand – Drink to TX history with the First Stand, which commemorates the battle for TX’s independence. This is a mostly dry saison with a nice floral and fruity nose and flavor thanks to the Belgian yeast. In 6 pack cans. 5.5% ABV/Richmond, TX
Texian Battle Line – Battle Line is a rich and malty brown ale with a smooth finish and just enough citrusy hop presence to help balance out the sweetness. Slight roasted coffee and chocolate notes. 6.3% ABV/Richmond, TX
Texian Broken Bridge – Broken Bridge is a classic Bavarian-style Dunkelweizen. This “dark-wheat” ale is delicate and is perfect compliment to our Texas Summers. 5.6% ABV/Richmond, TX
Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen – A simple, easy drinking summer beer. Light straw color, cloudy as a hef should be. The apricot lends some sweetness to the party. 4% ABV/Park City, UT
