Especially when you come to that last can of beer or bottle of wine, even though your heart breaks, you know it’s gonna mend… cause here at WhichCraft we help keep the faith right through goodbye. This week we haven’t skipped a beat. So, pick yourself up off the ground and walk on down.
***New Brewery Alert***
We’re excited to bring two new options from our friends up in Pflugerville, Willard’s Brewery. Their tasty Fistful of Furry Hazy IPA and Forbidden Helles are coming in fast and furiously delicious. A big shout out is in order for 512 Brewing! They’ve joined the canning club with their Kölsch. We love those folks, and we love that their beers are now super pool & lake friendly! On the hoppy front, we’re stoked for Tupps’ new Hella Hopped West Coaster, and don’t miss that Fair State & Pinthouse collab, Hazy, Art & Agriculture. To keep that pesky doctor away make sure you grab some of Martin House’s Honey Crisp Ale (totally healthy).
I feel like I’ve really out done myself with this week’s wine. Top of my list is the Piak! from Domaine Bobinet. Its 100% Grolleau & 100% the strawberry fields that we need everyday forever. Take one sip, and try not to smile. Working on your cellar you say? Well partner, you better grab a bottle of the Dos D’Chat Jura Chardonnay. Four cases were sent to Texas. We snagged only six bottles outta that shipment. This wine ain’t your Kendall Jackson. It’s beautifully complex with a lovely nuttiness. It’ll also age quite tremendously in that cellar you’re stocking. If you’re looking for a fun first step into natural wines or wanna try something a touch more complex, Amplify Wines Mixtape white wine blend will give the same feelings as that Smiths & The Cure playlist from your highschool sweetheart. I’m getting all kind of tropical notes and lip smacking qualities that have me coming back glass after glass. La Milla Albriño is definitely my deserted island sipper. Go check out my Insta post on it to see what else I think about it. The other newbs are fun too, but why don’t you come in and talk with us about ’em?
***Other wine news*** Buy any 6 bottle, get 10% off. Get any 12 bottle and get 15%. We’ve got the cool stuff you need to get.
Mark your calendars for the 17th: our friends over at Celis will be stopping by for a visit. We currently have their Pêche on draft, and well… it’s a peach.
We’re excited to announce that Thirsty Planet’s Spot on Pils, Thirsty Goat Amber, and Buckethead IPA are all part of our Brewery of the Month for the end of August and through September. They’re all coming in at $8.99 for a six pack!
Don’t just stand there in the storm
Walk toward the light till you find the sun
And you’ll be better off in the long run
And walk on to WhichCraft
Later, y’all.

Martin House Salty Lady Michelada – Spiced Michelada Sour Beer. 5.2% ABV

Alesmith Aleschmidt Oktoberfest – This classic German-style amber lager has been brewed in Germany and Austria for hundreds of years, though it was made famous for being served at Munich’s Oktoberfest celebration since 1872. Modern versions exported to the United States are often labeled Oktoberfest and the name has become synonymous in the minds of most brewers and consumers with the traditional Märzen style, though modern iterations of the style in Europe are considerably lighter. Our take on this classic is characterized by a clean, elegant, and toasty malt character. Prost! 5.5% ABV
Fair State Art & Agriculture – Hazy IPA collaboration with Pinthouse Pizza (Austin, TX) that celebrates Mosaic hops. We happened to select the same lot of Mosaic from the Yakima valley for our 2020 crop year Mosaics as our friends at Pinthouse, and we thought we’d celebrate by brewing a beer with them. Art & Agriculture celebrates the connection between farmer and brewer, and also the dankest hops out there. We brewed this beer with tons of oats, wheat, spelt, Mosaic, Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe, and Idaho 7. Bright, tropical, citrus pith, and a hint of dankness. 6.6% ABV
Jester King Soul Conduit – Bob’s non-sour pilsner. A classic, clean lager with pilsner malt, brought more modern by using the balanced, citrusy, herbal, hops: Lemondrop and Hallertau Blanc. Clean, crispy, easy, and floral. 4.5% ABV
Neff Brewing No Barriers – Dry-hopped with amarillo and simcoe; made for Tulsa Tough 5.8% ABV
Neff Brewing Astronaut Cookies – Dark roasted rice and chocolate millet malts combined with a healthy amount of toasted gluten-free oats to give this beer a chocolate chip cookie taste as sweet as the Milky Way. 5.6% ABV

Tupps Day of the Dead -Brewed to celebrate the vibrancy of Day of the Dead, this double dry hopped pale ale is loaded with huge citrus and stone fruit flavor and aroma. Compared to it’s bigger brother, DDH IPA, Day of the Dead drinks lighter with a crisper body yet packs every bit of the aromatic punch that DDH IPA does. Massively dry hopped with Galaxy, Citra, and Mosaic. 5.5% ABV
Tupps Hella Hopped West Coast IPA – Classic and clean. This West Coast Style IPA blasts dank citrus aroma and drinks just bitter and dry enough to leave you wanting another sip. 6.6% ABV
Willard’s Forbidden Helles – Forbidden Helles is our tribute to the wonderful full-flavored lagers of Bavaria. With notes of fresh-baked bread and a subtle kiss of noble hops, this otherwise light lager exhibits beauty in its subtlety. Crisp, golden, and refreshing, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! 5.5% ABV
Willard’s Fistful of Fury Hazy IPA – Bob’s non-sour pilsner. A classic, clean lager with pilsner malt, brought more modern by using the balanced, citrusy, herbal, hops: Lemondrop and Hallertau Blanc. Clean, crispy, easy, and floral. 4.5% ABV
Ayinger Oktoberfest – Rich, amber-golden color. Deep, inviting, malty nose and bready, wonderful flavor that’s an ode to barley. Medium to big body, with a touch of warming alcohol on the finish. Soft dryness from long maturation. 5.8%ABV
Founders Velvet Rush – Borrowing elements from both high-end craft cocktails and moody jazz clubs, Velvet Rush takes the bourbon barrel-aged brown ale up an octave with free-flowing notes of coffee, chocolate and vanilla extract. Milk sugar aids in weaving together this complex tapestry of flavors to create a unique sipping experience that really ties the room together. 11.1% ABV
Konig Pilsener – An elegant effervescence gives way to malty sweetness intermingled with the delicate bitterness of herbs, finishing with a pleasant aftertaste. A well-balanced pilsner with an intense flavor but a delicately subtle overall impression. 4.9% ABV
Altstadt Oktoberfest – Bob’s non-sour pilsner. A classic, clean lager with pilsner malt, brought more modern by using the balanced, citrusy, herbal, hops: Lemondrop and Hallertau Blanc. Clean, crispy, easy, and floral. 4.5% ABV

Ingenious Adult Icarus – Hazy New England quadruple IPA brewed with citra, cascade, and sabro hops. 12.5%ABV

New Wines This Week
(On-Premise Consumption or Off-Premise Crowlers)
La Milla Albriño 2018 – Rías Baixas represents the lowlands of Galicia, with an elevation generally less than 300m near the sea and the lower reaches of the rivers, giving the region a distinct Atlantic influence with mild temperatures and high rainfall. Here, Albariño finds its natural habitat. La Milla is a cuvée made in collaboration with third generation winegrower and winemaker Angel Parada. It is sourced from an organically and biodynamically farmed plot of old vines (up to 80 years old) in the sandy soils of the Soutomaior subzone of Rías Baixas. After hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentation and aging occur entirely in stainless steel tanks
This Spanish gem of a grape has thick skins and is disease resistant, meaning it can thrive in Galicia’s humid, rainy, oceanic climate. Often planted in sandy soils near the ocean, the resulting wines often display notes of salinity. This La Milla bottling from Viños de Terruños is textbook, classic Albariño: ripe citrus and stone fruit, refreshing acidity, stony minerality, and is just to die for. Pair with shellfish, crab-crusted cod, or pan-asian cuisine. 12.5% ABV
Amplify Mixtape White 2020 – This year’s Mixtape white is 58% Chenin Blanc, 21% Riesling, 15% Gewurztraminer, and 6% Viognier, all organically farmed. Half of the Chenin Blanc, and all of the Riesling, was fermented to dryness on the skins, and all of the fruit received at least 2 hours on the skins. It is drier than the 2019, which had a touch of sweetness, and we find it to be more balanced overall. The Gewurztraminer lifts the nose, providing floral top notes, while the skin-fermented portion brings more exotic aromatics. Texturally it has beautiful weight and roundness, a result of full malo and no fining or filtering. This is a wine we want to drink all year long, and it should complement a wide array of foods. 13% ABV
Le Dos D’Chat Côtes du Jura Chardonnay 2018– A wonderfully textured and lightly nutty Jura Chardonnay that’s on the fresher side right now, but will develop quite nicely in the coming years. 12.5% ABV
Ciu Ciu, Lacrima Di Morro D’Alba 2018– So-named because the current owner’s great grandfather worked for the local railway company, this 150 hectare organic estate was established in 1970 in Contrada Ciafone on the Adriatic coast of Le Marche and is now under the direction of brothers Massimiliano and Walter Bartolomei. The vineyards lie among the rolling hills of the countryside in Le Marche’s Offida region where the proximity to the Adriatic, combined with 300 metres of altitude create a unique micro-climate which ensures exceptional growing conditions. Lacrima di Moro is a DOP red wine from Ancona in Le Marche and is made from the ancient and rare Lacrima grape, rarely found outside the locality. It is aged in stainless steel tanks for 6 months and has a vibrant acidity.
An inky-purple in colour. Floral aromas of roses, red plums and blackcurrants. Dry and full-bodied in the mouth with a forward acidity and firm tannins. Look for earthy notes and a smoky finish. 13% ABV
