We’ll be tasting SIX incredible Belgian imports for free, and you’ll get to talk with Christine and hear her spin tales of her father’s work at Hoegaarden and Celis Brewery here in Austin. Tasting: Brouwers Verzet Oud Bruin sour brown, Triporteur Heaven & Hell, Lupulus, Ter Dolen Kriek, and Aspall Blush cider. Epic tasting!

How’s this for a wicked tasting event?? The crew from Uncle Billy’s Brew & Que on Barton Springs will be invading WhichCraft from 12-3pm and tasting not only their bready & deliciously crisp Humbucker Helles and Green Room IPA, but also Uncle Billy’s BBQ! We’ll be setting up a few tables out on our patio to sample the beer & BBQ and it’s all free!

New Beers This Week
Deschutes Not the Stoic – A limited edition Belgian-Style Quad brewed with pomegranate molasses and aged for 11 months in 15% Pinot Noir and 15% Rye Whiskey Barrels, this beer is deeply complex and worth cellaring. 12.1% ABV/Bend, OR
Prairie Hop – Another fantastic release from the folks in Krebs, OK. This one is a hop driven saison dry hopped with Citra and Simcoe. With a characteristically dry finish, this is another one to drink quickly (don’t cellar) but savor. 7% ABV/Krebs, OK
Prairie Ale – A classic saison, this version is brewed with pilsner malt, wheat malt, flaked wheat, and cane sugar. A healthy dose of saaz hops are used to add a spicy element to the beer. Prairie Ale is fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, and brettanomyces. Notes of black pepper and pineapple can be found in this beer. 8.2% ABV/ Krebs, OK
Unibroue Grande Reserve 17 – This Belgian-Style Strong Dark Ale is aged in French oak, refermented in the bottle, and has an incredibly intricate flavor, with notes of oak, plum, and raisins. 10% ABV/Quebec, Canada
Stone Unapologetic IPA – Stone teamed up with Heretic and Beachwood Brewing Co.s to create this unique Double IPA. Brewed with four experimental hop varieties, it is citrusy, fruity, and tropical, with a subtle earthiness. 9% ABV/Escondido, CA
Odell 59’er – A well-balanced brew, it skirts the line between an amber and a red ale, with a strong malty backbone and just the right amount of hops. The signature beer of the Colorado Mountain Brewing Company. 5.2% ABV/Colorado Springs, CO
De Proef Lozen Bier – This Belgian brew pours deep amber with suspended sediment and a big, frothy head. The aroma is candylike with big sugary smells and cherry melded with smooth but obvious alcohol. The flavor is brash with a wallop of alcohol. 10% ABV/Hijfte, Belgium
Ola Dubh 16 and 21 year – These incredible imperial stouts from the UK are aged in 16 and 21 year Highland Park scotch whiskey barrels. Add these to our current selection of 12 and 18 year and create yourself a wonderful little gift pack. 8% and 10.5% ABV/Alva, Central, Scotland
Uncle Billy’s Green Room IPA – Austin brewpub Uncle Billy’s has only recently started distributing. This American IPA is light in body but packed with hop aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. 6.5% ABV/Austin, TX
Lagunitas Little Sumpin Extra – This Double IPA is brewed with wheat for an extra-creamy mouthfeel. The hops leap out with notes of pine and citrus. Light in color, but big in body. 8.5% ABV/Petaluma, CA
Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Barley Wine – A traditional American-Style Barleywine aged in freshly decanted Kentucky bourbon barrels. With a rich, malty backbone and a citrusy, aromatic hoppiness, this beer is delicious fresh, and will only improve with time. 10% ABV/Lexington, KY
Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Ale – This award-winning beer is an English Strong Ale aged for at least 6 weeks in fresh bourbon barrels. Notes of vanilla and oak make it a fantastic after-dinner drink. 8.2%/Lexington, KY
Solid Rock Cho’Sen – Brewed in collaboration with local restaurateur John Cho of Cho Sushi, this beer was designed to be a perfect accompaniment to sushi. Light in body with flaked rice and gingery hops, and plenty of peppery Saaz. 7.1% ABV/Spicewood, TX
Circle Hop Overboard Pale Ale – The latest release from local Circle Brewing! Overflowing with hop flavor and aroma, this pale lives up to its name and then some. Munich and caramel malt sweetness counterbalances the hop excess to a remarkable degree of harmony. Not overly bitter, this pale has everything you want … just don’t go too overboard. 4.7% ABV/Austin, TX
Buffalo Bayou Summer’s Wit – This Belgian Witbier is brewed with hibiscus flowers, ginger, coriander, and orange peel. As refreshing and summery as the name suggests. 6% ABV/Houston, TX
Buffalo Bayou Gingerbread Stout (Nov 2013 release) – Bottle conditioned for one year, this limited release is deliciously malty, with a healthy dose of—you guessed it—ginger. 10% ABV/Houston, TX
Reissdorf Kolsch – This is one of the original Kölschs from Cologne, Germany with a pleasant, full-bodied, and uniquely light but bready taste. Clean, crisp but still flavorful. 4.8% ABV/Cologne, Germany
Crabbie’s Ginger – Here by popular demand, Crabbie’s is the UK’s classic ginger beer, with a spicy yet crisp flavor with a citrusy and warming finish. Easy drinking but still plenty of spice. 4.8% ABV/Edinburgh, Scotland
Meridian Hive Discovery MEAD – Our very first mead option in your favorite bottle shop! Clean, orange blossom honey aroma, a slightly sweet, yet delicate flavor, a medium-light body, and a crisp finish. The overall impression is somewhere between a white table wine and a saké. 7% ABV/Austin, TX
Southern Star Walloon – Southern Star’s summer seasonal is a Belgian Grisette which isn’t a style you typically hear of. Developed in the 1800s, it was the traditional thirst quencher of coal miners and factory workers and is similar in style to a saison. 5.5% ABV/Conroe, TX
